Ruby's Marathon Runs
145 Miles in 5 days
We are running the length of the Grand Union Canal for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity
in memory of Ruby Emily Ashley starting from Monday 13th May and finishing on Ruby's 10th birthday Friday 17th May
On the 17th May 2009 my daughter Ruby Emily Ashley was still born at 37 weeks gestation. This changed the lives of me and many people around me forever. I cannot begin to explain how this has affected my life, probably more than anyone will ever realise. I have put on a front for so long, I'm not even sure who I am anymore! Raising money to help other people is a major part of what keeps me going. I vowed from the day we lost Ruby that I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to stop this happening to other people or at least reduce the amount of times this happens. I also wanted to help get the people this affects (Parents, families, friends) the support and care they need following the unthinkable.
